Gotho (Paul Naschy) è un povero gobbo, ghettizzato ed oltraggiato da tutti,
compresi i bambini del piccolo paese in cui vive e lavora come “tuttofare” nell’obitorio della
clinica locale. L’unica persona che prova affetto per il deforme e ritardato Gotho è la bella Ilsa (Maria
Elena Arpòn), malata incurabile. Dopo il suo decesso “il mostro” decide di rubarne il corpo, non prima di
aver ucciso barbaramente i due portantini dell’ospedale che stavano violando la salma della sua amata.
Contemporaneamente uno scienziato di nome Orla (Alberto Dalbés), osteggiato dai suoi colleghi per gli esperimenti
estremi a cui sta lavorando, coglie la palla al balzo e promette a Gotho di resuscitare la sua bella in cambio del suo
aiuto. Il compito è quello di raccattare delle vittime sacrificali da offrire in pasto alla sorta di Golem oggetto
delle sperimentazioni del folle scienziato...........
